First day.
A tour around the centre of the city to get to know the most significant landmarks, some of which are from the rubber boom followed by dinner in a central restaurant.Transfer to the lodge by boat down the Amazon. Visit the ‘paiche’ farm – the largest fresh water fish; during the transfer we will note various different communities on the banks of the Amazon. Arriving at the lodge we will be welcomed with a local drink and will find our rooms. One night in the Amazon Botanical Lodge with full board. Take the ‘medicinal plant’ walk and get to know ‘uña de gato’, ‘sangre de grado’ and ‘clavo huasca’ amongst others. Enjoy spectacular views of the Amazon from a well placed viewpoint and finish the day with a night walk to see tarantulas and insects

Second day.
Get to know the local birds in their natural habitat and take a ride in a canoe near the lodge. We will see a native tribe, the ‘monkey island’.

The trip can be personalised to suit your preferences and we will take you to the airport if necessary following the trip.

Take a tour down the river to see an artisan press in which juice is extracted from the sugar cane, and it’s various derived products are manufactured – Rum, Molasses. Take a night trip in a canoe around the lodge and enjoy the sounds of the forest at night. Visit to a native tribe.

Third day.
Visit the native Yagua tribe and discover their methods of manufacturing artisan products and their ability with the blow-pipe. Visit the monkey island.

The entire trip will be with a permanent guide and can be personalised according to your needs. We can also arrange an airport transfer if need be.

Fourth day.
Early morning walk. See the grey and pink river dolphins. Visit the monkey island.

Second day
See the local birds in their natural habitat. Excursion in canoe around the area. Visit a river-side village to see an artisan press in which juice is extracted from the sugar cane, and its various derived products are manufactured – we shall taste their rum and honey amongst others. After lunch we will leave for Cumaceba lodge. During the transfer we’ll visit a private monkey protection centre. We’ll arrive at the lodge and assign the private bungalows. A night excursion in a canoe will bring us to the end of the day.

Third day.
Visit a small zoo to see Anacondas and Sloths. Visit the local Yagua tribe and take in their language, typical dress and see how they kill with the blow-pipe. We’ll have the opportunity to buy some of the artisan products and artwork.
